Park In the Community

The people of Park UMC are committed to making a difference in the Brainerd Lakes area, and in the wider global community. Here are a few ways we are getting involved...

Garfield School

Park Church is continuing our relationship with Garfield School this year.  We have been communicating with the principal, Jodi Kennedy, and the collaborative worker, Justin Edin, to find ways our church family can support and help the students and staff.

Be watching for opportunities to volunteer in classrooms and for events at the school which will be posted on our Mission Wall in the back of the sanctuary. Contact the church office for more information!

Garfield School students are in need of:

Pants (jogging pants, sweatpants and girls' leggings are great)

Winter hats

Winter gloves

Neck warmers

By providing these items we are helping the school focus on their learning goals. We accept donations of these items at any time and will deliver them to the school.

New Pathways

New Pathways serves homeless adults with children by providing sleeping accommodations, three meals a day, case management, skills training and a safe environment.

Park Church partners with New Pathways by providing families with transportation, meals and evening activities several weeks per year.

Join us February 24 - March 3, 2019, as we host our New Pathways families.

Contact Scott G. for more information.

Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen

5th Saturday Soup Kitchen

Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen has been a symbol of hope and compassion in the Brainerd Lakes Area since 1987. They serve approximately 65 meals day. Every 5th Saturday, Park Church serves at the soup kitchen. Contact Mark Ambroz if you would like to volunteer to help!
