The people of Park are committed to making a difference in the Brainerd Lakes Area, and in the wider global community. Here are a few ways we are getting involved:
Park Church is continuing our relationship with Garfield School this year. We are continually looking for ways our church family can support and help the students and staff. Each fall, we gather school supplies to support students as they begin the year. We've also collected winter gear as the weather turns cold. Watch for opportunities to volunteer in classrooms and for events at the school which will be posted on our Mission Wall in the back of the sanctuary. Contact the church office for more information!
Pants (jogging pants, sweatpants, and girls' leggings are great)
By providing these items we are helping the school focus on their learning goals. We accept donations of these items at any time and will deliver them to the school.
New Pathways serves homeless adults with children by providing sleeping accommodations, three meals a day, case management, skills training and a safe environment. Want to learn more? Contact Scott G.
Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen has been a symbol of hope and compassion in the Brainerd Lakes Area since 1987. They serve approximately 65 meals day. Park Church serves at the Soup Kitchen every 5th Saturday. Contact Mark Ambroz if you would like to volunteer to help!
Operation Sandwich is a grassroots program that exists to end childhood hunger by feeding kids during the summer when meals are not accessible at school. Meals are served four days a week during the summer months. Park Church is proud to support this program in Brainerd. In 2019, Operation Sandwich served 10,544 meals! To learn more, take a look here!
